Integrating Authorize.net

To Integrate Authorize.net as your merchant account, you will need to gather some credentials from your authorize.net portal and configure the required fields before you can start to capture payments with Cronetic. 

Getting your API Keys

 To get your API credentials, first head to your authorize.net portal and locate "Settings" in the left menu. 

Then "API Credentials & Keys"

Copy your "API Login ID" to a notepad

Next, Check "New Transaction Key" and click "Submit"

Authorize.net will prompt you to confirm your email by sending you PIN.  Follow the instructions. 

Once you've completed this step, it will provide you with a new Transaction Key.  Copy this to your notepad

Once you've gathered both the Transaction Key and API Login ID, head back to Cronetic.com and Click Settings in the left navigation menu.

Click Integrations

Located the Payment Gateway Card and click "Configure"

Scroll down to the Authorize.net Card, Paste in the API LOGIN ID and TRANSACTION KEY that you've just gathered in the previous steps. 

Scroll down and click "Update Gateway" to save your changes. 

Configuring Authorize.net's required fields (important)

Do not skip this step, your Cronetic Payment capture feature will not work without it. 

Head back to authorize.net, settings, and click "Payment Form"

Then click "Form Fields"

Cronetic has prebuilt form validation, so you really don't need to enable any of the "Required" checkboxes.  If you do decide you want some required fields, the only three that will work are

• First Name
• Last Name
• Billing Zip

Be sure to click "Submit" to save your changes.

TEST MODE

Before introducing your Cronetic Payment Capture forms, be sure to test your Authorize.net integration.  You do not want your customers to see a broken payment capture form. 

To enable Authorize.net's TEST MODE, head to Settings, then click Test Mode

Here, you can enable "Test Mode".  Head back to Cronetic and create a test order.   

The following test credit card numbers will only work in the sandbox. Use any expiration date after today’s date. If the card code is required, please use any 3-digit combination for Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, EnRoute, and JCB; use a 4-digit combination for American Express.
